The National Evaluation of the
Comprehensive Technical Assistance Centers will examine and
document how the Comprehensive Center program and its individual
centers intend to build SEA capacity and what types of activities
they actually conduct to build capacity. The study will use surveys
and interviews of center staff and technical assistance recipients,
as well as technical assistance event observations, to collect
information about how the Comprehensive Centers design their work,
how they operate, and the results of their work.

Pub.L. 107 - 279 204 Name of Law: Title II of the Educational
Technical Assistance Act
ED is requesting a new ICR
control number; this ICR was previously under 1850-0914. The
original collection was incorrectly issued as a common form,
however the request for a new ICR was necessary to correct the
error. Three of the instruments from the currently approved
collection are still being used and two interview protocols are
being added to the collection. As soon as the new OMB number is
issued, 1850-0914 will be discontinued to avoid any duplication of
burden.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding
the proposed collection of information, that the certification
covers:
(i) Why the information is being collected;
(ii) Use of information;
(iii) Burden estimate;
(iv) Nature of response (voluntary, required for a
benefit, or mandatory);
(v) Nature and extent of confidentiality; and
(vi) Need to display currently valid OMB control
number;
If you are unable to certify compliance with any of
