Approved as amended by ED's memoranda to OMB of 6/3/92 and 6/4/92. OM notes that we received 111 public comments regarding this information collection request, and that ED has addressed these comments through revisions to the package or responses to the comments. In addition, E shall meet the following conditions: -- ED shall provide OMB with a review copy of the telephone protocols governing ED's response to State requests to report aggregate data on student with mental retardation. ED has assured that States who lack the data to disaggregate will not be asked to do so. -- ED shall move toward automated reporting in a manner consistent wit its pilot study on automation. ED shall guarantee that software provided by the Department will be free of any computer viruses. -- ED shall collect information from districts in Delaware, Nevada, an Maryland on a universe basis, since the number of districts in these States is too small to ensure a State-representative sample. -- In the instructions to item 6 of the 101 form, ED shall add the phrase. "who have been identified by the district as pregant, and" aft "students". -- In the instructions for item 7D of the 102 form, ED shall insert th name and phone number of the OCR official to contact regarding reporti of data on students with mental retardation. -- ED shall make other editorial corrections as agreed 6/5/92.
