Abstract: APPROXIMATELY 9000 FACULTY, 480 INSTITUTIONAL REPRESENTATIVES AND 5,240 DEPARTMENT CHAIRS IN 480 POSTSECONDARY INSTITUTIONS WILL BE SURVEYED. THIS NATIONAL STUDY WILL PROVIDE DATA ON INSTITUTIONAL POLICIES, FACULTY CHARACTERISTICS, QUALIFICATIONS, ET AND WILL ASSESS SUPPLY OF, AND DEMAND FOR INSTRUCTIONAL FACULTY AND FACTS THAT AFFECT QUALITY OF INSTRUCTION.
