The fourth cycle of the NSOPF is being
conducted in response to a continuing need for data on faculty and
instructional staff at U.S. postsecondary education institutions.
Information about these key staff at postsecondary institutions is
critical to understanding and explaining the qualify of education
and research in these institutions. This study will expand the
information about faculty and instructional staff in two ways:
allowing comparisons to be made over time and examining
