This is the second submission of a
two-stage clearance request for approval of data collection
activities that will be used to support An Impact Evaluation of the
Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF). The evaluation will estimate the
impact of the differentiated pay component of the TIF program on
student achievement and teacher and principal quality and
retention. In addition, the evaluation will provide descriptive
information of the program's implementation, grantee challenges,
and grantee responses to challenges.

The District Survey has been
revised to streamline and improve the information data request by
removeing about 1/3 of the questions - thereby reducing burden from
30 to 25 minutes per data collection. Modest changes to the other
two surveys in the collection did not impact burden.
