The National Study on Alternate
Assessments (NSAA)examines the development and use of alternate
assessments in ensuring that schools are accountable for the
performance of students with disabilities. The purpose of the
National Study on Alternate Assessment (NSAA) is to evaluate the
degree to which states and schools provide grade-level, modified,
and alternate achievement standards; access to standards; include
them in state accountability; and improve their education and
academic performance.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies

1320.8(b)(3).
