that NOMS data shall be requested from respondents on a voluntary
basis throughout the approval period, and providing additional
justification for the burden estimate associated with the
collection. In this submission SAMHSA has requested approval for a
pretest of the N-SSATS in 2007 which is approved at this time,
however, prior to fielding the full 2007 and 2008 N- SSATS surveys
SAMHSA shall submit a separate request for OMB review and
approval.

The DASIS is comprised of three
components, maintained in collaboration with State substance abuse
agencies: (1) I-SATS-a listing of all known substance abuse
treatment facilities in the United States; (2) N-SSATS-a survey of
the facilities on the I-SATS; and (3) TEDS-that includes abstracts
submitted by States on admissions to and discharges from substance
abuse treatment facilities that receive State funds.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
