Terms of Clearance: This information collection request is approved through 12/2002 to allow OVAE to consider significant revisions to reduce burden and increase effectiveness. Because OMB is concerned about the amount of time it is taking ED to implement the 1997 Guidelines on Race/Ethnicity, OMB expects that by the next submission of this collection, ED will have policies in place to ensure such compliance.

Abstract: The information collected by the Vocational Technical Education Annual Perofrmance and Financial Reports is used to monitor program performance and the uses of funds under the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act of 1998. Respondents include eligible agencies in 53 States and outlying areas. This revision corrects the omission of two columns that are needed in order to collect information about expenditures for the full twenty-seven month period of the grant award.
