ED agrees to the following conditions: ED will continue its efforts
to coordinate and develop an overall data collection strategy for
the new IDEA reporting requirements; ED will continue to research
methods for further developing a performance and outcome based
survey for assessing the impacts of this program; ED will ensure
that the information requested in this form will not be duplicated
in the forms used for Parent Training and Information Centers under
Section 682(b)(7); ED will, within 30 days of the date of this
clearance, submit to OMB a memo outlining the circumstances in
which the electronic version of this form was destroyed (Note: the
memo will also explain what measures ED will take in order to
prevent this from happening again); ED will, in the fastest manner
possible, recreate the electronic version of this form; ED will
inform all of the respondents via email when the electronic version
of the form is once again available; ED will continue in its
efforts to put this form (and related forms) on a Web site and will
update OMB on this progress in the next OSEP submission related to
this program; ED will make every effort to merge the Annual
Performance Report and the Continuation Progress Report in time for
FY 1998 data reporting and will update OMB on this effort 6 months
prior to the beginning of FY 1998 data reporting.

These performance reports collect
information required of grantees receiving Federal funds under part
D of IDEA, required by P.L. 101-476 and 102-119, through fiscal
year 1997 grants. Training data will be summarized in OSERS' annual
report to Congress, including data on special education and related
services personnel, as well as parents trained.
