importance of these issues for future policy development in this
area, we expect ED to draw on other available and timely
opportunities to co ect such data, such as ongoing Federal
evaluations of the TRIO program

THE PURPOSE OF THIS SURVEY IS TO
COLLECT INFORMATION FROM COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES ABOUT PROGRAMS
THEY RUN FOR PRECOLLEGIATE STUDENTS THAT ARE DESIGNED TO INCREASE
THE ACCESS OF DISADVANTAGED STUDENTS TO HIGHER EDUCATION. RESULTS
WILL BE INCORPORATED INTO SEVERAL REPORTS BEING PREPARED BY THE
DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. THE PRIMARY INSTITUTIONAL RESPONDENT WILL
BE THE PERSON MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT
