addition, ED has agreed to meet the following conditions: -- The
reconciled reinterview will be used to assess data quality for the
1992 TFS, and to improve items for the 1993 TFS. -- NCES shall
assess non-response bias in the TFS, and identify any significant
bias in analyzing and reporting these data. ED has indicated that a
task order contract would be awarded to pursue such a study. The
next clearance package for the TFS shall report on the findings of
ED's analysis, including any non-response bias in the private
school teacher sample.

CAREER PATTERNS, TEACHER ATTRITIO THE TEACHER FOLLOW-UP SURVEY IS A
FOLLOW-UP TO THE SCHOOLS AND STAFFIN SURVEY TO BE CONDUCTED ONE
YEAR AFTER THE BASE YEAR SURVEY. THE SAMPL SURVEY. THE SURVEY ASKS
RESPONDENTS ABOUT CURRENT ACTIVITIES AND PLAN TO REMAIN IN OR
RETURN TO THE TEACHING PROFESSION.
