Abstract: REQUESTED BY THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION, THIS SURVEY SEEKS TO OBTAIN NATIONALLY REPRESENTATIVE INFORMATION ON DISCIPLINE POLICIES AND PRACTICES IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOL, AND ON THE OBSTACLES TO DISCIPLINE FACED BY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS. THE FINDINGS OF THE SURVEY WILL BE USED TO INFORM POLICY MAKERS ON HOW SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS PERCEIVE THEIR DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES TO ACTUALLY HELP OR HINDER EDUCATIONAL ORDER AND DISCIPLINE IN SCHOOLS.
