Abstract: THE SURVEY OF PRIVATE AS WELL AS PUBLIC SCHOOL LIBRARIES IS RESPONSIVE TO THE GENERAL EDUCATION PROVISIONS ACT, P.L. 247, AS AMENDED, PART A, SEC. 406(F)(1)(A) WHICH STATES THAT "THE CENTER SHALL FURNISH SUCH SPECIAL STATISTICAL COMPILATIONS & SURVEYS AS THE COMMITTEE ON LABOR AND PUBLIC WELFARE AND ON APPROPRIATIONS OF THE SENATE AND THE COMMITTEE ON LABOR AND PUBLIC APPROPRIATIONS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTIVES MAY REQUEST."
