NATIONAL ASSESSMENT OF EDUCATIONAL
PROGRESS IS AN ANNUAL SURVEY OF THE EDUCATIONA ATTAINMENT OF YOUNG
AMERICANS. THE STUDY OBTAINS NATIONWIDE INFORMATION ON THE
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, UNDERSTANDINGS AND ATTITUDES OF FOUR AGE GROUPS
(9,13,1 AND 26-35) IN SELECTED SUBJECT AND SKILL AREAS, WITH
PERIODIC REASSESSMENT IN THOSE AREA TO DETECT CHANGES IN EACH OF
THOSE AGE GROUPS.
