In response to Executive Order 14168, Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government, the NRC’s online Employment Opportunity Complaint System is being updated to remove references to gender identity.
Under “Basis/based for Claim,” the response options for Sex have been changed from Male/Female/LGBT to Male and Female. All references to gender as a basis for an EEO complaint have been removed from the system. Finally, the Paperwork Reduction Act statement and Privacy Act statement have been revised to eliminate references to gender identity, ensuring compliance with recent Executive Orders and aligning the language with federal requirements.
