NONSUBSTANTIVE CHANGE REQUEST

NRC FORM 655, “EEO COUNSELOR’S REPORT”

In response to Executive Order 14168, Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government, the NRC Form 655 is being updated to remove references to gender identity. The response options to the question, “BASIS(ES) FOR ALLEGED DISCRIMINATION (Check all that apply)” have been updated. The response “Sex (including gender identity, sexual orientation, and pregnancy” has been updated to read, “Sex.” An additional response option has been added to read, “Other Bases Protected by Statute.” In addition, the Privacy Act statement has been revised to eliminate references to gender identity, ensuring compliance with recent Executive Orders and aligning the language with federal requirements.
