Predator Damage Management Survey: “Heads-up” Postcard Distribution
Instructions
➢ We please ask that field staff personally deliver the postcards (included in this package) to each
cooperator.
o If field staff cannot directly deliver postcards to cooperators, we suggest contacting
cooperators via email or phone.
➢ The reason for connecting with each cooperator is to:
o Let them know about the survey study and that they should look to receive a link to the
questionnaire via email in the fall.
o Explain the importance of this study: evaluate the success of predator damage
management techniques and the nonlethal program, so Wildlife Services can better
understand the perspectives and opinions of those who received these services.
o Obtain email addresses
▪ We are pushing our questionnaire to the web so please do your best to obtain
cooperators’ email addresses. This will significantly reduce the time and burden
on cooperators who are willing to participate.
▪ If any cooperators say they do not have an email address, do not have access to
the internet, or if they are simply unwilling to take the questionnaire online,
please then obtain their full mailing address so we can mail them a paper
version of the questionnaire.
• For those who opt to fill out a paper version, let them know that it will include
a post-paid return envelope and instructions for mailing it back.
o Keep in mind: There are no risks to cooperators for taking this questionnaire. In addition,
while cooperators’ opinions are very important to us, their participation in this research is
entirely voluntary.

FOR EACH COOPERATOR, PLEASE INPUT THE FOLLOWING INTO THE
SPREADSHEET ON THE NONLETHAL INITIATIVE TEAMS PAGE
(Cooperator Details_FY25):
