Who Uses MEPS?
The Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) is a national survey of families and individuals and of their medical
providers. Data from MEPS have been used to estimate health care use, spending, and private and public insurance
coverage in the United States.
MEPS researchers include statisticians, social scientists, and health services researchers in universities around the United
States; government agencies; and private organizations. In 2010, MEPS users came from the following organizations:
