SSA organizes and maintains pension
plan information we receive from the IRS to which pension plan
participants and administrations are entitled under the Social
Security Act, Section 1131(a). Under 20 CFR 422.122(b), SSA may
only disseminate this information if the requester submits a
written request with identifying information to SSA. We use the
identifying information the requester submits to verify the
individual is to whom the pension information pertains. Respondents
are requesters of pension plan information.
