This is a new program that will provide competitive grants to State educational agencies (SEAs) under section
18001(a)(3) of Division B of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), Catalog of
Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) number 84.425B. The ESF-SEAD Grants program provides support through
discretionary grants to SEAs in States with the highest coronavirus burden to address specific educational
needs of students, their parents, and teachers in public and non-public elementary and secondary schools in
accordance with section 18001(a)(3) of the CARES Act.
