Dear
Dr [enter name here]
The
National Cancer Institute (NCI) invites you to help
improve the access to valuable human specimen resources
by participating in the Specimen
Resource Locator (SRL) (specimens.cancer.gov).
The SRL is a searchable website that makes researchers
aware of existing NCI- and non-NCI -funded biospecimen
resources. The SRL will list specimen biorepositories
with a URL link. It will not recreate your resource
database or control the inventory of specimens.
Scientists can search the SRL database and retrieve a
list of resources likely to distribute the specimens they
are seeking. You may list the collection of specimens you
want to distribute
with or without a collaboration requirement.
Good
reasons to join the Specimen Resource Locator (SRL):
It's
a searchable website that lists biospecimen resources.
Participating
will publicize the availability of your specimens.
Lead
cancer researcher investigators directly to your
resource.
Participate
in 3 simple steps:
Log
on to specimens.cancer.gov
Click
on "How to add a collection"
Complete
short electronic form
Please
join the SRL. Your resource will be a valuable addition
to the database!
If
you have additional questions, please contact me at

Thank
You,
