The Administration for Children and
Families (ACF) proposes revisions to the reporting requirements
related to the Consumer Education Website (at Section 45 CFR 98.43
of the Final Rule) to help create transparency and efficiency
around the State/Territory interstate background check processes.
The revised reporting requirements would require State and
Territory Lead Agencies to post information and resources
pertaining to their interstate background check processes and
procedures on their Consumer Education Website. OCC will use this
information provided as a result of the revised reporting
requirements to help ensure compliance with existing background
check requirements in the Child Care and Development Block Grant
(CCDBG) Act and Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Final Rule.
The existing Reporting of Serious Injuries and Death reporting
requirement (at Section 45 CFR 98.42 of the Final Rule) will not be
modified. These collections do not involve Federal forms.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
The following is a summary of the topics, regarding
the proposed collection of information, that the certification
covers:
