Recruiting Goals:


  1. Recruit:

    • 12 participants for each in-person group to seat 8 participants;

    • 8 participants for each virtual group to seat 6 participants;

  2. Participants need to be a mix of ages for each group;

  3. Participants will be a mix of men and women with no more than 1-2 men per in-person group and no more than 2 men per virtual group;

  4. Participants should be nutrition educators who directly deliver nutrition education to individuals in both one-on-one and group settings;

  5. Participants for:

  • Nutrition Assistance Program Educator Groups: should be serving clients from low-income nutrition assistance programs (e.g. SNAP-Ed, WIC, EFNEP, etc.);

  • Health Department Health Educator Groups: should be working at local/county/state health departments and directly deliver health and nutrition education (do not include those providing assistance to SNAP-Ed, WIC, EFNEP);

  • Grocery Store Nutrition Educator Groups: should be providing nutrition education at grocery stores.

RTI is conducting a research study sponsored by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). We are looking for nutrition educators to take part in upcoming focus group discussions about their experiences with providing nutrition education. You will be one of about 8 other participants and the discussion will last approximately 90 minutes. If selected for participation in one of the focus group discussions, you will receive $50 as a token of appreciation.
