The Department of Education proposes
to amend its regulations governing accrediting agencies, involving
certain student assistance general provisions, and institutional
eligibility, as well as make various technical corrections. These
proposed regulations are a result of negotiated rulemaking in early
2019 and would add new requirements to the current regulations.
Data collection and burden for this collection are related to
requirements from 34 CFR §602 The Secretary’s Recognition of
Accrediting Agencies.
