The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is
finalizing a rule that replaces Onshore Oil and Gas Order Number 5,
Measurement of Gas with new regulations codified in the Code of
Federal Regulations. This rule also updates the BLM's regulations
pertaining to gas measurement, taking into account changes in the
gas industry's measurement technologies and standards. The
information collection activities in this rule will assist the BLM
in ensuring the accurate measurement and proper reporting of
natural gas removed or sold from Federal and Indian leases, units,
unit participating areas, and areas subject to communitization
agreements. The respondents are operators, lessees, purchasers, and
transporters.
