INTRODUCTION
The Office of Adolescent Health (OAH) is requesting an extension through March 31, 2018 of the OMB # 0990-0416 “Office of Adolescent Health Annual Pregnancy Assistance Fund Performance Measure Collection,” currently approved through March 31, 2017. There are no changes to the data that will be collected. The only addition is that three grantees have been added to the program, increasing the number of grantees reporting on the measures from 17 to 20.
All 20 Pregnancy Assistance Fund (PAF) grantees will be reporting data. There will not be sampling of grantees.
B2. Procedures for the Collection of Information
The measures for all grantees (pertaining to participant reach and demographics, services and referrals) and the category-specific measures are collected by aggregating data obtained from the staff implementing the program. The training and partnerships items are tracked and summarized from the grantees’ records. All of these measures are entered into the web portal. Grantees may either directly enter data into answer fields on the website or upload a spreadsheet that gets processed by the programming team.
B3. Methods to Maximize Response Rates and Deal with Non-response
Because completion of performance measures is a funding requirement for these cooperative agreements, we have had nearly a 100% grantee response rate. This requirement was stipulated in the Funding Opportunity Announcement. To maximize response rates, the program office sends out periodic email reminders to grantees in advance of the final due date. Grantees who have not reported data by the deadline receive additional reminders once the data collection period has ended.
B4. Tests of Procedures or Methods to be Undertaken
These measures have been reported successfully over the past three years.
