SUBJECT: Non-Substantive Change for Surveys to Support an Evaluation of the National Human Genome Research Institute Summer Workshop in Genomics (Short Course) OMB Control Number: 0925-0732, Expiration date: 02/28/2019
This is a request for OMB to approve a non-substantive modification to the OMB 0925-0732, Surveys to Support Evaluation of the National Human Genome Research Institute Summer Workshop in Genomics (Short Course).
The initial survey was disseminated in the spring of 2016 by Ripple Effect Consulting with additional surveys to be collected in the winter of 2017. NHGRI will no longer use Ripple Effect Consulting to gather the data but rather, use Survey Monkey, a NIH Privacy Office approved survey tool, to collect the responses. Use of the tool will make dissemination and collection of responses more efficient and will be more cost effective to the government.
A second change deals with the timing of the survey distribution which will be distributed early next year. The new timeline will be January 16th – April 3rd, 2017. The timing will be modified to accommodate additional responders and support better participant alignment with the 2017 Short Course itself. Although we are proposing a change in the survey dissemination strategy there will be no substantive changes to the survey questions.
Thank you for your consideration.
