Notice to N-MHSS Respondents

In response to the growing demand for treatment services, and to
increase the visibility of treatment service providers, SAMHSA
may share facility contact information from its Behavioral Health
Treatment Services Locator (https://findtreatment.samhsa.gov)
with commercially available search engines (such as Google, Bing,
Yahoo!, etc.) to help facilitate greater access to mental health and
substance use treatment services beginning later this year.
Facility contact information includes only the facility’s name,
location address, telephone number, and website address. Please be
assured that neither SAMHSA nor its government contractors will
share any other facility information reported in the N-MHSS to
these commercial search engines.
We hope you find this increased visibility to be beneficial to you.
Thank you for your support in making treatment available and
accessible to persons living with mental health problems and/or
substance abuse/addiction.
Note: If your facility is not currently listed on the Locator, your
facility’s contact information will not be shared.
