My name is Anna Hamelin, and I work on the Survey Development Team here at the Energy Information Administration (EIA). EIA is conducting a research project on Form EIA-877 Winter Heating Fuels Telephone Survey, to determine how respondents are reporting the retail price for No. 2 heating oil and propane and to assess whether respondents are able to separate residential customers from their commercial and/or industrial customers.
As part of this research effort we are conducting telephone interviews with current respondents between the dates of XXXX- XXXX to discuss your interpretation on some of the information that is collected on the survey form. The interview will take approximately 15 minutes. The feedback you provide helps EIA reduce reporting errors and improves the quality of the average state heating oil and propane prices that EIA publishes. Your participation in this research is voluntary.
