Other change** The purpose of this change worksheet is to incorporate the change in burden to applicants under the Application for Grants under the Teachers for a Competitive Tomorrow: Programs for Master’s Degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Critical Foreign Language Education (TCT-M) FY 2010 (CFDA number 84.381B) under the generic application 1894-0006. The application is attached for your information. (Please note the TCT-M grant application was previously cleared in 2008 under the generic 1894-0006.) For the original competition of the TCT-M in FY 2008, the total burden hours per applicant were estimated to be 200 hours. In FY 2010, the Secretary proposes three invitational priorities in the application for Programs for Master’s Degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Critical Foreign Language Education (TCT-M). The first invitational priority states applicants are encouraged to include plans that propose programs that target schools that are “struggling”. This priority contains information collection requirements that would increase burden by five hours for each TCT-M applicant in OMB Control Number 1894-0006, for a total burden increase of 625 hours (125 respondents * 5 hours). This invitational priority is the only component of the FY 2010 TCT-M application that impacts burden hours of 1894-0006. The remaining sections of the FY 2010 TCT-M application do not cause a change in burden in 1894-0006. (The total additional burden hours to the generic 1894-006 based on the FY 2010 TCT-M application are determined by 125 respondents * 5 hours for an additional 625 hours.)
The Transition Program for Students with Intellectual Disabilities into Higher Education (TPSID) (CFDA 84.407A) is a new program authorized under Sec 767, Part D Programs to Provide Students with Disabilities with a High Quality Higher Education, under the Higher Education Opportunity Act (2008). The purpose of this change worksheet under ED generic application 1894-0006 is to include the application package for grants for the FY 2010 Transition Programs for Students with Intellectual Disabilities into Higher Education (CFDA Number 84.407A) in ED/OPE. The application is attached for your information. (The total additional burden hours to the generic 1894-006 based on the FY 2010 TPSID application are determined by 50 respondents * 40 hours for an additional 2000 hours.)
The total burden hours for the FY 2010 TCT-M application and the FY 2010 TPSID application are 625 hours + 2,000 hours = 2,625 additional hours to the generic 1894-0006.
