Store Clerks Needed for a
Research Study
We are looking for clerks who work in stores and gas stations where cigarettes or other
tobacco products are sold to take part in a research interview. We want to understand
what clerks think and do when selling tobacco products. The research will be used to
help develop educational materials about federal tobacco regulations.
Interviews will last about 45-minutes and will be private. If you participate, no one will be
told what you say, including boss. Your responses will not be shared with your store or
with anyone beyond the research team.
 We are looking for:


Full or part time sales clerks who work the cash register in places that sell
cigarettes and other tobacco products.



Clerks ages 18 and older.



No other experience or training is needed.

 If you are interested in participating, your name will be added to a list of
interested clerks. If your name is selected from that list, you will be contacted to
schedule an interview.
 Clerks who are interviewed will be given $30 for their time.
 For more information, or to sign up for the chance to be interviewed, please call
