  1. Can you talk a bit about what you know about the Action Plan for the Prevention, Care and Treatment of Viral Hepatitis (Action Plan)?


  1. Can you talk about what viral hepatitis activities are being conducted across your state? Please include activities that the state/federal government funds and those funded/supported by private organizations/groups.

  • How does the State Department of Health work with local health departments or community organizations to help build viral hepatitis capacity? What activities are conducted?


  • What resources are provided to local health departments or community organizations?

    • Funding? Tests/Test kits? Hepatitis B? Hepatitis C? Vaccines?


  1. Can you talk about the viral hepatitis surveillance activities that are being conducted across the state?


  • What are some challenges related to these surveillance activities?

  • Is viral hepatitis surveillance able to dovetail with HIV or other existing surveillance systems?

  • What future plans exist for surveillance across the state?


  1. Can you talk about how health departments are equipped to investigate possible outbreaks of health care associated viral hepatitis?


  • How are outbreaks investigated?

  • Has an outbreak investigation best practice been developed?

  • Is there a system that tracks health-care associated hepatitis infections? If so, how does it work?
