Subject: Non-substantive change request to ICRAS: 0955-0014
This memorandum is to request a non-substantive change to ICRAS: 0955-0014, the National Survey on Health Information Exchange in Clinical Labs. The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) would like to add to additional questions to both of our survey instruments. The first question would be added to “Section 3. Methods Used to Sent Test (Lab) Results and Volume of Exchange to Ordering Practitioners.” The new question and respective response categories is as follows:
Did your laboratory send test results electronically in a structured format to an ordering practitioners Electronic health Record (EHR)?

The second question would be added to “Section 6. Implementation of Guidelines and Regulations.” The new question is as follows:

These questions are straightforward and will not add any burden to this information collection activity. Attachment A and Attachment B are the updated survey instruments with these new questions included.
