Finding Aid Survey
OMB 09250648 Exp 01/01/2015 National Library of Medicine HMD Finding Aid S...
Public reporting burden for this collection of information is estimated to average 10 minutes per response, including the
time for reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and maintaining the data needed, and
completing and reviewing the collection of information. An agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not
required to respond to, a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid OMB control number. Send
comments regarding this burden estimate or any other aspect of this collection of information, including suggestions for
reducing this burden, to: NIH, Project Clearance Branch, 6705 Rockledge Drive, MSC 7974, Bethesda, MD 208927974,
ATTN: PRA (09250648). Do not return the completed form to this address.

The History of Medicine Division of the National Library of Medicine is planning a major update of its finding aid database
(http://oculus.nlm.nih.gov/cgi/f/findaid/findaididx?page=home;c=nlmfindaid;cc=nlmfindaid) which currently provides the
framework for access to NLM's modern manuscripts collections. A finding aid is a tool used by archivists to provide
contextual information about collections along with detailed inventories to help researchers locate relevant materials.

We invite you to take part in a brief survey so we may better understand your current use of NLM's finding aid database
and what new features you would wish this resource to offer in the future.

This survey has been approved by the National Library of Medicine's Survey Review process and responses will be
anonymous.

This survey will remain open until December 2, 2013. Thank you for your participation.
