Consistent with the revised justification indicating that the questions being piloted will be used to inform the amount of time per day farm workers are employed in specific crops and tasks and farm workers' hygiene and laundering practices. DOL will submit a separate request should the agency wish to expand to look at potential impacts on farm workers' families.

NAWS provides an understanding of the manpower resources available to U.S. agriculture. It is the national source of information on the demographic, occupational health and employment characteristics of hired crop workers. EPA test questions need to be test piloted on a limited basis and the results analyzed before being incorporated in the upcoming full interview cycles.
