MSHA is proposing to revise the
Agency's examination requirements to include identifying and
correcting violations of manadatory health and safety standards.
Records of tests and examinations are necessary to ensure that the
ventilation system is being maintained and that changes which could
adversely affect the integrity of the system or the safety of the
miners are not occuring.
The previously approved
supporting statement from April 2010 had an Annual Cost Burden of
$66 million. However, the number in ROCIS was errorously entered as
$214,627.
