The information covered by this
collection consists of all of the information required in support
of an application for a Rural Broadband Loan or Loan Guarantee as
authorized under Title VI of the Rural Electrification
Act.
The agency initially
published a proposed rulemaking and requested comments related to
the Paperwork Burden during the 60-day comment period. After
publication the 2008 Farm-Bill amended sections of the authorizing
legislation which required the agency to make amendments and issue
an Interim Rule. Due to the amendments the Agency must again
solicit comments on the rulemaking and the paperwork reduction act.
In order to begin accepting applications under the Interim Rule,
the agency seeks approval of an Emergency Information Collection
Package.
This is a revision of a
currently approved information collection and is tied to an interim
rule. There is a total decrease of -2,935 hours and a bookkeeping
correction to remove an IC and consolidate information with the
primary IC.
