This information collection will allow
SSA to gather the information necessary to reissue Economic
Recovery Payments (ERPs) to the estates of deceased Social Security
beneficiaries and Supplemental Security Income recipients who died
before they could deposit the ERPs.
This emergency clearance
is required in order for SSA to gather the information necessary to
reissue Economic Recovery Payments (ERPs) to the estates of
deceased Social Security beneficiaries and Supplemental Security
Income recipients who died before they could deposit the ERPs.
Because the deadline for issuing these payments is at the end of
this year, we need to collect information by fall the latest, so an
emergency clearance is needed now so we can start collecting
information as soon as possible.
