Form N-8F is the form used by
registered investment companies in certain circumstances to request
an order from the Commission declaring they have ceased to be an
investment company under the Investment Company Act of
1940.
US Code:
15
USC 80a-8(f) Name of Law: Investment Company Act of 1940
The current approved total
annual burden associated with Form N-8F is 753 hours, based on an
estimated burden of approximately three hours per form and an
estimate of 251 annual applicants. We now estimate that
approximately 330 investment companies file a Form N-8F annually.
Therefore, the new estimated annual hour burden per year for all
applicants would be 990 hours, which represents an increase of 237
hours for all applicants. This increase is based on the increase in
the estimated annual number of filings since the previous
submission from 251 to 330.
