SUBJECT : Request for OMB Approval of the Application Package for Grants
Under the Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian-Serving Program (ANNH) (OMB 1840-xxxx)
The Office of Postsecondary Education requests that you submit for Departmental and OMB approval, a new application package for grants under the Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian-Serving Institutions (ANNH) Program. The application package will be used to collect information to be used during the competitive cycle of the program as required by the program legislation. The current Title III, Part A multi application package was allowed to lapse in order to separate our programs into individual applications to simplify the application process. This allowed for the preparation of an application package that is consistent with the changes necessitated by the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA).
The revised information collection will also be more closely adaptable to the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) performance measure results, as required by law. The attached Form OMB 83-1 and supporting documents are being submitted as required.
