Addendum to the Supporting Statement
Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) Projects
Creating a Different Modality of Your IC
SSA has instituted an Internet-based version of our WIPA data collection instrument. We have not changed the data items we collect, only the modality of collecting and recording the data.
SSA hired a contractor to create the internet version of the WIPA data collection instrument. This version, which community work incentives coordinators complete and submit online, provides for a secure central repository of the data for SSA’s use in managing and evaluating the WIPA program. Because the items we collect have not changed (only the way we collect and record them), we are not changing our burden estimate. Because this is a web-based instrument, we are providing screen shots for the data collection instrument and the layout for the stored data elements.
Minor Revisions to the Collection Instrument
SSA is also making the following revisions:
We are revising the PRA statement to reflect our current boilerplate language. The current language, which dates back to the last reprint of the form, is now outdated.
SSA’s Office of the General Counsel is conducting a systematic review of SSA’s Privacy Act Statements on agency forms. As a result, SSA is updating the Privacy Act Statement on the first page of the form.
