Dear CCAMPIS Project Director:
In accordance with the law governing the Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) Program, Section 419N(e)(1) of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended and reauthorized by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008, each grantee is required to submit a project performance report to the Secretary of Education annually for each year of the grant award.
The CCAMPIS Annual Performance Report (APR) is enclosed for your use. Please note that it has been significantly reformatted. The new version of the report will allow for ease of reporting and will collect information in a format that will provide data that is more compatible with the accountability and tracking requirements resulting from the recent reauthorization of the Higher Education Act. In addition, the Department will use the information provided in the report to determine how effectively your institution met the goals and objectives of its grant and whether it is in the best interest of the government to continue funding for subsequent years.
This report requests performance information relative to:
Data on the service population;
Information on institutional and community/local resources used to help low-income students access child care services;
Information on the accreditation of your child care facilities;
Information on the CCAMPIS Program funded services provided to the service population;
Information on the impact of the CCAMPIS Program grant on the quality, availability and affordability of campus based child care;
and
Data on the persistence and college completion rates of the student participants.
Reports are also downloadable by visiting the CCAMPIS web page at http://www.ed.gov/programs/campisp/index.html. Click on the “Performance” tab to find an electronic copy of the report.
The deadline for submitting this report is December 31, 2009. Please submit the original and one copy to:
