The primary purpose of the PPW program
is to expand the availability of comprehensive, high quality
residential treatment services for pregnant and postpartum women
who suffer from alcohol and other drug use problems, and for their
infants and minor children impacted by the perinatal and
environmental effects of paternal substance use and abuse and other
co-occurring disorders.

Currently there are 9,842
burden hours in the OMB inventory. SAMHSA is requesting 19,684
hours. The increase of 9,832 hours are due 16 new grantees that
were awarded in FY 2008.
