Justification for Changes to the OMB Approved TANF Agency NDNH Match Results Report

None of the proposed changes below affect how states will collect or report on their results. These changes are simply to correct errors that were not found when first submitted or that have since become apparent.

Change:

Modifying title line to add blank sections for filling in year, quarter, and marking if the report is an amended report.

Justification:

Our approved form did not have blank sections allowing the reporting state to express the year and quarter of the report. We have also realized that states need to specify if a report is an amended report. This is necessary as states will submit amended reports for periods that they have already reported on and we will need to differentiate between the two.

Change:

Removing the line from the bottom of page one that said “Estimate of annual savings from NDNH matches”.

Justification:

This item was already part of the table (the last row labeled “Unduplicated annual total”) and this duplication was overlooked when the original form was sent for OMB approval. As a result, we want to remove this duplication.

Change:

Added an explanation regarding the last row of the table on page one (“Unduplicated annual total”).

Justification:

An explanation of this row was mistakenly left off the form when approved by OMB, and this change would add a two sentence explanation of the final row in the table.
