OMB approves the
revisions that ED has agreed to make in response to comments from
OMB and the public. ED agrees to continue to work towards the
complete integration of this collection into the EDEN system and/
or the Consolidated State Performance Report. OMB expects that over
the next three years ED will work towards altogether phasing out
this OMB number. ED also agrees that substantive changes to this
collection will only be made through full revisions of this package
via submission of OMB form 83-I. Change worksheets (OMB form 83-C)
will be only used for non-material changes to this information
collection.

State Directors of Title III of the No
Child Left Behind (Elementary and Secondary Education) Act Language
Instruction for Limited English Proficient and Immigrant students -
are required to transmit that State Formula Grant Biennial
Evaluation Report to the Secretary of Education every two years.
The Department uses the information collected for the Secretary's
Biennial Report to Congress and for the determinaton of State Title
III accountability.
