As mandated by Section 107 of the
Social Security Protection Act of 2004, SSA is sponsoring an
independently conducted study evaluating the Representative Payee
Program. The study will compare and contrast the reports of
beneficiaries and representatives to evaluate the knowledge level
and performance of representative payees vis-a-vis the standards
established for them by SSA. The respondents are recipients of
Social Security benefits (adults and youth 14-17) and their
representative payees (individuals and organizations).
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
