The Department of Education (Ed) will resubmit this information collection to OMB when the final rule on the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is submitted to OMB; 2. Ed will brief OMB on each information collection associated with the final IDEA rule; 3. Upon resubmission, Ed will consolidate the 21 information collections currently associated with this rule into several PRA packages; and 4. Upon resubmission, Ed will incorporate public comments and describe how this collection maximizes practical utility and minimizes public burden.

Abstract: The data collection proposed under this request is included in proposed regulations that would implement section 673(h) of IDEA which requires that individuals who receive a scholarship through personnel preoparation projects funded under the Act to subsequently provide special education and related services to children with disabilities (or, for leadership personnel, work in areas related to their preparation) for a period of two years for every year for which assistance was received.
