DOL will
provide, by the end of September, 2005, an analysis of the costs of
collecting the following data for the youth and lofelong learning
common measures: 1. Data on the job placement of zero tolerance and
uncommitted students , to allow these students' outcomes to be
included in the calculation of performance on the youth and
lifelong learning placement measure. 2. Data on degree and
certificate attainment among ZT and un- committed students, to
allow these students' outcomes to be included in the calculation of
performance on the youth and life- long learning measure. 3. Data
on on degree/certificate attainment by the end of the third quarter
after exit.

This submission requests approval of
three primary and two secondary data collection instruments that
will be used to collect follow-up data on individuals who are no
longer actively participating in Job Corps. The instruments are
comprised of modules that include questions designed to obtain the
following information: re-verification of initial job and/or school
placements; employment and educational experiences; job search
activities of those who are neither working not in school,
information about former participants' satisfaction with the
services......
