As required by Section 2(b) of GPRA,
the Gallup Organization will annually conduct national and area
surveys on the public's current level of knowledge of the Social
Security Programs. The information will enable SSA to establish
clear, quantitative measures of public understanding about various
aspects of our benefit programs against which the outcomes of SSA
performance improvement efforts can be assessed. The respondents
are randomly selected American adults, age 18 and over.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
