Approved
consistent with SAMHSA's response on 9/29/2003 with the following
conditions: (1) Results will not be portrayed as "representative"
of private practitioners, but only of the memberships of each of
the 4 separate membership organizations that were sampled. SAMHSA
shall include a discussion of the coverage of the organizations
within the overall profession of private substance abuse
practitioners. Generally, estimates will not be made by pooling
across the membership organizations, and any estimate produced in
this manner will clearly identify coverage limitations as well as
potential biases introduced by multiple memberships. (2) SAMHSA
will revise the question used to assess the number of clients seen
in a week to refer to the specified survey week, instead of a
"typical" week, which is used to determine the probability of the
client being sampled.
